ASSE GCC HSE Excellence Award - Your Road to Recognition

Award Submission Deadline Extended!

We are happy to announce that the last date for submission of applications has been extended up to 15.02.2009.

During the Executive committee meeting ASSE-KC held yesterday, we took a decision to extend the date of submission up to 15.02.2009.(Earlier it was 31.01.2009). This is also being updated in all our websites. Simultaneously we are announcing in all the leading news papers.

We request all the private sector companies to make use of the opportunity and apply for this at the earliest.

Award Scheme

American Society of Safety Engineers-Gulf Cooperation Council HSE Excellence Award is introduced to recognize leadership, excellence and encourage exceptional performance in private sector companies in the Gulf Region in the field of Health, Safety and Environment.

The award is instituted by the American Society of Safety Engineers-Kuwait Chapter, a non-profit Organization. This evidence based award showcases successful business models from organizations that uphold HSE as a business value and excel in performance. Award recipients will be recognized at the 5th International HSE & Loss Prevention Professional Development Conference and Exposition-2009, which is scheduled from 17th to 19th March, 2009 in Kuwait.

The names of successful companies will be publicized regionally & internationally. This is an independent, transparent and credible award.

Eligibility Criteria

Companies in the private sector with self-contained, independently-auditable HSE performance systems that meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply.

The submissions must:

  • Demonstrate that a well-integrated HSE Management System leads to proven success in HSE practices and enhancement of productivity.

  • Show consistent improvement or sustained leading performance in HSE for a minimum of two years. Performance measurements must be established through recognized industry, national, and/or international metrics.

Registration Fees

To encourage participation by all private sector businesses, there is no registration fee.

Award Banquet

Winners of ASSE GCC HSE Excellence Award will be invited to the inaugural banquet of the 5th International HSE & Loss Prevention Professional Development Conference and exhibition-2009 in March 2009 in Kuwait to receive the award.
